What does Kiyosaki say about Bitcoin?

The “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” author Robert Kiyosaki who had once praised Bitcoin for its unconventional properties, has now stated, “Soon real estate and gold guys will be phased out as the Bitcoin world is coming into view gradually.”

He further added that the old generation like him should start learning about the crypto world as bitcoins will be taking over the market in the near future. Kiyosaki predicts that the price of Bitcoin will reach $75,000 per bitcoin in the next 3 years from $31,000, which is the current value. Kiyosaki is looked up to as a financial guru and after accepting that he is now slowly investing in bitcoins, investors are showing interest in buying them, surging the price of it.

What does Elon Musk say about Bitcoin?

Elon Musk, the richest person in the world created a stir in the crypto world with a Twitter thread recently. In a Twitter exchange between him and Michael Saylor, a well-known advocate for digital currency, it was suggested that Musk wanted to know whether “large transactions” were possible through bitcoin. He also mentioned a rival of Bitcoin, Dogecoin which soared up its price by nearly 20%. Dogecoin also became a trending Twitter topic.

Elon Musk keeps posting about Dogecoin in his tweets each time sending its shares up. In 2014, Dogecoin was created as a parody of the popular meme ‘doge.’ Even though it started as a joke, the market value currently stands at $570 million.

Earlier in an interview, he had shown reluctance on the credibility of bitcoin. He points out that not all transactions are within the bounds of the law. For such transactions, cash is used. But for an illegal transaction to be complete, the cash must also be circulated for legal transactions. “You need an illegal-to-legal bridge for that. That’s where crypto comes in.”

That being said, he also emphasizes that he is not “judgemental about crypto.”

Jeff Bezos, the second richest man in the world, has been rumored countless times to have invested in bitcoins. Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao had once quoted that he expected Bezos’ online retail giant Amazon would work as a catalyst for the next Bitcoin bull run.

Bill Gates has invested in all sorts of moonshots and technologies, ranging from a startup that live-streams video of Earth, to a company that grows meat in labs.

But one thing Gates is not interested to invest in Bitcoin. He never bought any coins himself but someone gifted them to him on his birthday. Gates quoted, “Bitcoin is one of the crazier speculative things.” He expressed that the reason for his negative approach towards cryptocurrency is its lack of any intrinsic value.

Gates also talked about his issue with the anonymity of bitcoin. He said that the government’s interference in tax evasion, money laundering, and terrorist funding is what keeping the world balanced. He added that cryptocurrencies are used for “buying fentanyl and other drugs.” He also referred to it as a technology that has caused death in a “fairly direct way.”

Previously in 2014, his views were rather positive about cryptocurrencies. He praised how the currency provides you the advantage of not being physically present for large transactions. But in spite of his current concerns, he still remains interested in the blockchain technology used behind bitcoins. The digital ledger where every transaction is recorded and confirmed is what fascinates him.

The founder of Bitcoin, who goes by the alias of Satoshi Nakamoto is yet to reveal his real identity. He is the one who believed most in bitcoins, mined the first coin himself, and owns the most number of bitcoins.

With confidence in his strategists, he doubled the bet claiming that Bitcoin would reach $1,000,000 by the end of 2020.

Throughout 2019 he kept emphasizing this bet and repeated that he would keep his promise. He was very certain that it was “mathematically impossible” for Bitcoin to be worth anything less than $1 million.

But when his prediction got sidetracked, he posted on Twitter that the deal was “a ruse.” He claimed to have done that just to attract new users onboard to have interest in Bitcoin. He also mocked people for actually believing that he would do something like that on national television in front of millions of people.
